SCU Donations for 2010

As part of giving back to the biking community, SCU named
two organizations as recipients of a portion of the Quad proceeds. $2 for
every rider went to The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, and
Neighborhood Bike Works.
During 2010, the following donations were made:

SCU made a total of $2305 in donations to the following organizations in 2007:

On September 19, 2006, SCU Treasurer Jay Sitkin presented Gina Duchossois of the SAFE KIDS Coalition of Southeastern Pennsylvania with a check for $1000.00. The club’s donation will be used to purchase bicycle helmets for kids from the Delaware Valley. The SAFE KIDS Coalition will be partnering with local hospitals and the Neighborhood Bike Works (to who we gave a donation last year) to distribute the helmets.
The SAFE KIDS Coalition of Southeastern Pennsylvania was formed in 1988 as part of the National SAFE KIDS Campaign and covers Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. The Safe Kids Coalition donates bicycle helmets to children.
